The candle that never stops smelling: make it at home with just a few ingredients

Among the most fashionable and popular accessories of the moment are  the candles  that  decorate the homes  of many people. Protagonists of decoration and design, there are not only pretty ones, but also super scented ones.

However, when we buy  candles  we know that sooner or later  they will end up burning out – as the wax with which they are made wears out – and, above all, that they will stop smelling: their smell will become imperceptible.

If we told you, however, that  there is a candle that never stops smelling , would you believe it? We are talking about the  eternal definition . You can make it at home with just a few ingredients.

Curious to know how? Well let’s start right away. First, you need the lime, which you can find at the grocery store or supermarket. With the help of a knife, cut at least four slices.

In a  jar , which will later serve as the base for our candle (make sure it is strictly glass),  pour three tablespoons of coarse salt and four slices of lime inside. .

Next, add  enough water to cover the file  and finally  a handful of cloves . Next, also a  few drops of lemon essential oil  or your favorite fragrance (we recommend using citrus fragrances so that the pleasant smell lasts as long as possible).

Finally,  pour a heaping tablespoon of cooking oil . Next, get  a plastic cup  and with the help of scissors cut the base. Using a screwdriver, make a hole in the center of the plastic.

Take the wick of a candle  that you are going to cut into pieces so that it remains whole and insert it through the hole you have made in the bottom of the glass . Now place it in your glass jar, in which you have previously put  salt, lime, olive oil and drops of essential oil. .

That’s it. Your eternal candle is ready . Try turning it on and you will see that the pleasant aroma will intoxicate all the rooms in your house . With a few simple ingredients – which you will also have in your pantry – you can make the candle that never stops smelling.
