You don’t know it, but by having subscribed to a “peak hours/off-peak hours” (HPHC) tariff, you will be able to make huge savings on your electricity bill.
In fact, the price of kWh is around 25% cheaper during off-peak hours, generally between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. or from 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. This depends above all on your municipality of residence, according to happ-e by Engie.
Therefore, running your washing machine during off-peak hours will prove economical and profitable in the long term. For example, you can schedule it or run it around 3 or 4 a.m.
If you plan to carry out several wash cycles, including spinning, consider running it at the very beginning of off-peak hours to take full advantage of this advantageous rate.
Please note, however, that peak and off-peak hours are set by Enedis, the network manager common to all suppliers. And that these cannot be modified in any way.
Furthermore, it is possible to consult your off-peak hours by referring to your electricity bill.
